Serves

4-6 servings

Ingredients

1lb ground beef
1/3 cup taco seasoning
2 cups marinara
2 tsp cumin
1 tsp salt
1 roll of crescent dough sheet
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Recipe

  • On a baking sheet, lay the crescent dough sheet down and cook according to the package instructions. Once it’s done, set it aside.
  • Adjust the oven to 450 degrees.
  • In a medium saucepan, brown the ground beef and pour in the taco seasoning. You’ll notice I do not mention to add water. Simply add the taco seasoning and stir until combined into the beef.
  • In a medium bowl, add the marinara, cumin and salt. Stir until combined.
  • Grab the crescent roll and cut it in two (not longways, you’ll want it to be two squares).
  • In a 9×9 casserole dish, set one piece of crescent on the bottom.
  • Add a couple spoonfuls of marinara and spread it over the top of the crescent.
  • Add the beef to cover the marinara.
  • Sprinkle one cup of cheese over the top.
  • Repeat the layers- crescent, marinara, beef and cheese.
  • Bake at 450 for 10-15 minutes.
